Description: Member Service Representative who will provide excellent quality service to current and potential members, team members, and businesses via face-to-face, telephone and written communication. Possess the knowledge to answer questions, research and solve problems, perform routine banking transactions, recommend, and support BP Federal Credit Union products and services.

Job Type: Full-time, office setting in person

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00/hourly

Work Schedule: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday

Requirements:

  • Pleasant, professional, and clear voice
  • Have a working knowledge of banking services.
  • Must be compassionate and truly enjoy assisting people with problems and finding solutions to their needs.
  • Have a strong sense of customer service.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to remain calm when dealing with upset members or situations.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured work environment and learn, retain, and recall information very quickly.
  • Ability to exhibit basic skills in using a personal computer and various software packages (including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to understand and explain online and mobile banking products to members.
  • Ability to balance a cash drawer including coins at the end of day as well as balance and compare institution totals to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to open/close accounts as well as adjust accounts to reflect any changes requested by members, including but not limited to personal information changes.
  • Ability to open checking accounts, savings, money market accounts and Certificate of deposits.
  • Capability to commute between branches (within the area) and make Post Office runs daily.
  • Assist in helping members with account information including providing transaction history, transferring funds, applying Stop Payments, issuing Cashier checks and money orders.
  • Ability to file member information at our offsite storage unit.
