Job Title: Planning and Control Manager

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 in office days a week

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

As the Planning and Control Manager you will be responsible for leading Planning & Control activities across the product lifecycle for the external supply chain that enable inventory and logistics costs to be optimized for Rolls Royce and to ensure delivery performance expectations are achieved. Additionally, you will be responsible for the deployment and development of planning and control capability within their team.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead a P&C team within the Design Make category to ensure that they manage supplier performance (OTIF, Arrears, Inventory, Build/ EPKD Impact, ERP Compliance)
  • Ensure that the team closes supplier performance gaps
  • Ensure problem resolution and follow-up within the team
  • Work with ME, Quality & PM/PI managers to ensure mid-term delivery risks are understood, prioritized and supported
  • Enable the P&C team to lead successful Order Book Reviews, looking at long-term risk and actioning appropriately
  • Provide input into the sourcing strategy and sourcing decisions, helping shape the 'blueprint' for the supply chain
  • Manage the supply chain responses to support business impact evaluation (Risk, Inventory, Capacity and Financial)
  • Accountable for inventory budget and forecast within their commodities/supply chain value stream
  • Constantly assess PDL functional & behavioural competency via training matrix and action as appropriate.
  • Team members have Individual Development Plans with appropriate in role or growth development actions and improvement milestones
  • Ensure teams manage relationships and communication with a portfolio of suppliers and internal customers.
  • Presenting delivery status/burndown to Senior stakeholders both internal to the Category and to the internal customer

Basic Requirements:
  • Associate degree and 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement, OR
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement, OR
  • Master's degree and 3+ years of experience in in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 9+ years of experience in in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement in lieu of a degree
  • In order to be considered for this position for location based in the US, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
