VP Of Engineering

Veza is leading the next wave of cybersecurity innovation as the first and only platform built on the power of authorization. Responsibilities

Reporting directly to CoFounder and CEO Tarun Thakur, the VP of Engineering will:

• Scale the engineering organization from 80 to 300+ team members while ensuring innovation velocity and resource optimization, expanding existing teams and building new ones where needed.
• Build and mentor a highperforming leadership bench, including engineering managers and technical directors, with a focus on longterm sustainability and growth.
• Implement bestinclass engineering processes and workflows that support efficient development, ontime product delivery, highquality deliverables, and effective management of customer escalations.
• Deliver critical technical milestones that enable product expansion, meet evolving customer requirements, and support seamless scalability during hypergrowth.
• Foster a strong, inclusive engineering culture rooted in innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Define and track key performance metrics and create transparent career development paths to support retention and longterm team success.

Professional Qualifications & Personal Characteristics

• Talent Acquisition and Development: Proven expertise in building strong, trustbased relationships, attracting toptier talent, and coaching earlycareer engineers for longterm success. Adept at fostering highperforming teams and nurturing technical and leadership potential.
• Process Optimization and Prioritization: Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of designing and implementing clear, scalable processes. Skilled in setting and managing priorities to drive execution and alignment across teams.
• Rapid Growth Experience: Thrives in fastpaced, highgrowth environments. Strong ability to iterate quickly, simplify complex challenges, and deliver highquality outcomes while scaling operations effectively.
• Deep Technical Expertise: Over 10 years of experience in SaaS leadership, with a focus on security domains including application security, cloud infrastructure, and data systems protection. Brings strategic and handson expertise in building secure, resilient platforms.

At Veza, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range can be discussed with your recruiter for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package.
